Elvis Costello Visits New York's Gibson Showroom

Elvis Costello paid a visit this week to Gibson's New York Showroom to try out a vintage acoustic—a 1942 J-45 Legend with a Jumbo Burst. The legendary English musician was in the Big Apple for two concerts and an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman.
Following his appearance on David Letterman, Costello gifted fans Monday night with a free show at the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where he performed a 45-minute set, recorded for a live webcast on Letterman's website. The podcast celebrated 30 years since the release of Costello's groundbreaking debut My Aim is True, and the recent release of The Best of Elvis Costello: The First Ten Years of Rock and Roll Music, a compilation of hits, key album tracks, b-sides, and previously unreleased rarities.
Elvis Costello and the Imposters also performed a sold-out concert Wednesday evening at Nokia Theater in Times Square.
